The "Hollywood Model"
Originally opened in 1935, the Hollywood is a rare surviving example of Streamline Moderne architecture. Its restoration in 2020 established the "Hollywood Model", a landmark heritage agreement where density was transferred to an adjacent lot to fund the theatre's preservation.
Technical & Cultural Specs
Filling the city's "missing middle" between small clubs and large theatres, the venue features a fully removable floor to toggle between standing and seated configurations. It is equipped with a tour-grade d&b audiotechnik V-Series sound system and a 10,000-lumen Barco laser projector, catering to high-end touring productions.
Community Mandate
Under the ownership of the Dayhu Group (acquired 2024), the venue operates with a "Community Use Agreement," ensuring local non-profits and film festivals retain access to this world-class stage at cost-recovery rates.
