The Independent That Owns Its Stages
MRG Live is a regional independent large enough to land national touring acts while staying rooted in the mid-size rooms where most careers are built. It operates much of the room it books: the Vogue Theatre, the Imperial, and the Biltmore Cabaret all run under its banner.
That vertical setup keeps an MRG date coherent end to end. The promoter, the box office, and the house staff run together, and the booking taste skews toward the indie, alternative, and electronic acts those rooms were built for.
What That Means for Coverage
Because MRG controls the venues, it can speak to pit conditions, lighting, and house rules with first-hand authority, useful when planning a shoot in a tight cabaret like the Biltmore or against the balcony sightlines of the Vogue. Most dates run the usual first-three-songs framing; the room may run a barricade or a stage-lip shoot.
Submitting
Photo and press requests go by email, ideally three or more weeks ahead. Lead with the show, your outlet, and a couple of recent samples. A clear subject line with the artist and date speeds things along.
