Timbre Concerts is one of Vancouver's longest-running independent promoters, working the indie, folk and roots end of the calendar. Its bills are built around songwriters and string sections, booked into rooms sized to fit them. The promoter has worked these dates for years and books across a full season of shows.

What That Means for Coverage

A Timbre night is usually a listening-room affair, with warmer stages, gentler lighting, and an audience that came for the song. The first-three-songs courtesy applies, and most shooting happens quietly from the floor rather than at a barricade. A fast lens suits the low light.

Submitting

Access goes by email, ideally a couple of weeks before the date, and the promoter is responsive. Lead with the show and your outlet, include your Instagram handle, and attach a few recent samples.
